East Midlands Airport

This dual purpose canopy was designed, manufactured and installed as part of an airport transportation improvement project. The canopy is positioned adjacent to the main terminal building and provides both a weather protection link between the car parks and the terminus whilst at the same time servicing the local routes to and from the airport, accommodating five designated route stop points.

• Galvanized mild steel support frame
• 5mm thick clear PETg roof sheeting
• 10mm thick toughened safety glass side screens
• Single canopy run both straight and facetted in plan to follow the existing road network and bus routes
• Interconnecting “stepped” roof levels to accommodate existing falls in the ground levels
• Glass screens and integrated seating provide weather protection and comfort at the route stop points
• Architectural stainless steel glazing furniture to glass screens
